mod_proxy for port redirection
Thursday, November 9th, 2006I set up Ajaxterm and Webmin to redirect through Apache because sometimes all you have is port 80…
Once mod_proxy is installed and enabled, it’s pretty easy:
ProxyRequests Off ProxyPass /webmin/ http://localhost:10000/ ProxyPassReverse /webmin/ http://localhost:10000/ ProxyPass /ajaxterm/ http://localhost:8022/ ProxyPassReverse /ajaxterm/ http://localhost:8022/
So, the links are…
Ajaxterm: http://slice.yooser.org/ajaxterm/
Webmin: http://slice.yooser.org/webmin/
Webmin requires some additional configuration, nicely documented here.
It works pretty good, except Webmin isn’t rewriting the top menus with the ‘/webmin/’ prefix. I might have to get on the mailing list to figure out what is wrong. I tried searching the Sourceforge list archives, but their searches still stink.
